The beauty of Gender equality means that all genders are free to pursue whatever career, lifestyle choice, and abilities they want without discrimination. Their rights, opportunities, and access to society are not different based on their gender. Gender equality does not necessarily mean that everyone is treated exactly the same. Their different needs and dreams are valued equally. Achieving gender equality will have a significant positive impact on the world, and it prevents violence against women and girls. 

We as individuals come in different genders, colors, sizes, communities, religions  and even behaviors of each one of us. We have our own capabilities and our own perspective whether women or men. We are all equal in this world and in different aspects in life. Gender equality is a basic human right and described as; “all human beings are born equal”. 

There are 5 theories of perspective which are related to this topic and here are the 5 theories that I will include: Functionalism, Conflict theory, Symbolic Interactionist theory, Exchange theory and Evolutionary theory. 

The Functionalism theory or also called structural functional theory explains that the gender inequalities exist as an efficient way to create a division of labor, or a social system in which a particular segment of the population is clearly responsible for certain acts of labor and another segment is clearly responsible for other labor acts. The Conflict theory asserts that social problems occur when dominant groups mistreat subordinate ones, and thus advocates for a balance of power between genders. Symbolic Interactionist theory, this perspective is centered on the notion that communication or the exchange of meaning through language and symbols is how people make sense of their social works. Exchange theory postulates that human sexuality can be analyzed with the concepts of economics. And Evolutionary theory explains that this theory proposes biological organisms develop through phases of increasing complexity and are independent with their environments.

This 5 perspective is somehow related to the topic “”The beauty of Complementary of Genders as opposed to Equality of Genders”” because we need gender equality urgently. Societies that value women and men as equal are safer and healthier. Gender equality is a human right and everyone can benefit from gender equality.
